Cheryl Towler Weese, Studio Blue founder and creative director, shared the following remarks at the National Museum Publishing Seminar.
With more research being done on creativity, I'm excited about what's next for the design profession. And, I am hopeful that an openness to embracing creative risks will lead to more invention for all kinds of organizations. Regardless of your education, I believe that all people are innately curious and therefore creative. You don't have to be a designer to do something novel.
What surprises me most about "Why Studio Blue?" is the response I receive to my answer—"Wow! That's unusual." It's surprising because our clients are always eager to discuss, learn and contribute to the work. And, every day in the studio we experience that it takes more than one mind or idea to deliver the best work possible. Collaboration, curiosity, dialogue and debate—values to be embraced. And, that's why Studio Blue.
